It’s moving day. We said goodbye to Jerry and Linda this morning and they jetted back home. It has been a great three weeks with them. Very fun.
We hit the Barcelona-Sants train station and trained from Barcelona to Marseille! We loved taking trains all over the UK a couple years ago and are excited to do it again. Generally, training is easier than “planeing”, but at Barcelona Sants there was security and lines so not much different than an airport. In the UK, you watch the board and when your platform is announced, you join the mad rush to the train, even if you have assigned seats.
The first train to Narbonne, France was great, hot, but great. The second train from Narbonne to Marseille was air conditioned, but we had this gaggle of scouts (boys and girls) next to us. The kids were in aisles, in the way, and in our seats. At one point, there were ten teenagers sitting in six seats. Sigh, I hate feeling old but I really wanted to ask what the heck they’re teaching these scouts, other being kind of rude. The constant climbing over each other went on for two hours.
I took a couple of pics along the way.
We are staying in Aix-en-Provance and the hotel is packed with US women’s soccer team fans. The ladies play this evening and Wednesday in Marseilles. Yes, we will be there on Wednesday night. Bring on the Olympics!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 It’s time to get our USA on. Let’s go!
