As Martha says goodbye to So-Crates (she has been quoting Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure for three days!) we are off to the ship. Yay! The ship is huge!
We have a very nice cabin in the front of the ship. We got forward and aft confused until we looked at the view from the bridge cam on the tv and thought “hey, that is our view!”
Usually NCL has standard carpet patterns with all of the fishes swimming toward the bow (except for the “rebellious fish”) so you always know which way to turn when you exit an elevator. Now they have switched to geometric patterns, so we are totally confused.
There are eight of us traveling together plus another group where we know a few of the people. Our eight all signed up for the Vibe Beach Club because we thought it was the adults only pool on the 17th deck. Well it is adults only, and it is on the 17th deck, but it doesn’t have a pool, just two hot / cool tubs. Oh, it does have a bar, of course, but no food. We all agree it is totally overbilled. It was very fun to watch people who didn’t buy the pass try to get in. As well as the waiters kicking out every kid under 18. We admit, some of our group narc’d on a few people who snuck in.
We went back to the Vibe to watch the sail away and the sunset. Both were so cool.
