Day 0 - It's all about the packing

For this trip, we bought new luggage and are sticking to the rule of one carry on and one personal bag. NO checked bags - too many planes, trains, and other. So, already Martha is screwed because her luggage is a bit smaller than last time. But she still insists on carrying the inventory of the Best Buy electronics aisle. Now we’re taking over/under bets on how many times she gets pulled out of airport security at www.marthamakesuslateforourflightAGAIN.com.

And, I was successful after eliminating a couple shirts and bathing suits. It was difficult to drop bathing suits as my unofficial name for the trip is “Our Summer on the Med”.

Full disclosure, I did get a new backpack a couple months ago when we upgraded our luggage, but it’s way smaller than the last one. SO, I went back to the old one, lol.
