Today, August 10, 2022 is a freaking banner day. It is my father’s 94th birthday!
And my niece Kathryn and her husband Tim, had a daughter this afternoon!!!!! Welcome to the world, Maya Edwards Stacey. Sorry blog readers, no pics available at the request of the parents. Definitely she is theirs to share when they are ready; but I did get permission to announce Maya’s arrival.
The Aran Islands are 3 rocky isles guarding the mouth of Galway Bay, in western Ireland. They’re known for their ancient sites. The largest island, Inishmore, is home to the prehistoric fort of Dún Aonghasa, perched on top of a high cliff. Nearby is the Worm Hole, a rectangular natural pool. The medieval ruins of the Seven Churches are in the northwest.
With that being said, we took a horse and buggy ride around the island. It was a cool way to see the minimal sights, lol. But it was better than being in a coach. Patrick (the driver) and Sammy (the horse) hauled our asses for 3 hours. Nice work by Sammy.
Pics on the island.
