Day 53 - Belfast: Holywood Golf Club

Holywood Golf Club is the home of Rory McIlroy. I knew this going in, but I did not know there are trophies there and the staff is nice enough to let you hold them and take pictures with them. The golf bag is from the Ryder Cup at Medinah. Rory almost missed his match due to his confusion of central vs eastern time. The times on ESPN were eastern so he thought his match was an hour later than it was scheduled. He rolled up maybe 10-15 before his tee time (with a police escort) and beat Keegan Bradley 2&1.

Then, I went out and shot a 94 on a very hilly course with many blind shots. It was sunny, then rainy, then sunny, then rainy, then sunny. Temperature was in the low 60s. Very pleasant day. I walked and thought the hill to get to the 10th tee would be my undoing, but I made par so all was well.
