Day 35 - Manchester: The Hidden Gem Church

Wikipedia: The Hidden Gem, officially St Mary's Catholic Church, is a church on Mulberry Street, Manchester, England. The parish dates back to 1794, with devotion to St Mary, Our Lady of the Assumption, however the church was rebuilt in 1848.

We stopped at the church on our taxi tour yesterday and it is beautiful. Mass had just finished and I had a moment with Father Anthony. He asked where I was from and when I said Texas. I followed up with the stress of being from the states and all the bad news coming from the aftermath of the Uvalde shooting.

He empathized and said being in the UK may help as we are not inundated on a daily basis. Father Anthony also said he would pray for us.
